Kathleen O'Carroll (TCRG/ADCRG) began her dancing career under the esteemed Dennis and Marge Dennehy. After competing at the World Championship in 1976, Kathleen attended St. Xavier University. Since the opening of Cross Keys, Kathleen has been responsible for taking students from their first class to competing internationally and bringing home many accolades.
Kathleen lives in Oak Forest with her husband Johnny and daughter Mairead
Maura Winters (TCRG) began her dance career with Cross Keys at the age of 5, competed for 15 years, and went on to graduate from Eastern Illinois University in 1995. After graduating, Maura returned to teach at Cross Keys and earned her TCRG in 1999. After teaching for many years, she opened a second location for the school in Beverly, IL. This location has gone on to produce some of the most successful Cross Keys dancers in recent years.
Additionally to teaching for Cross Keys, Maura is a school teacher and lives in the Beverly area with husband Brendan and four kids Patrick, Ella, Owen, and Sara.
Tricia Hurley (TCRG) began her competitive career at Cross Keys. Tricia competed throughout the United States and Europe in many major competitions including American Nationals, All - Irelands, and the World Championships. After graduating from St. Xavier University, she passed the TCRG in 2006 and has been teaching for Cross Keys ever since.
When Tricia is not teaching, she is working as a 5th/6th grade teacher and lives in Beverly with her husband Travis and new born Lucy!
Nicole O'Hare (TCRG) began teaching for Cross Keys immediately after her successful 14 years as a dancer for the school. Nicole traveled throughout the world to compete in international competitions and consistently placed at all of them. She was also a member of Cross Keys' most successful team to date, placing 9th at their last World Championships.
When Nicole isn't teaching, she is working at, and co-owning Luxe Embellishments, an accessory vendor for both Irish dancers and bridal parties. Nicole lives in the Beverly area with husband John and daughter Penny.
Alan Crean began dancing for the Cross Keys School of Irish Dance in 1999. He went on to place Top 3 at the Regional Championships, Top 10 at National Championships and All-Ireland's and Top 15 at the World Championships. After his last World Championship, Alan went on to attend the University of Illinois and is now a recent graduate.
Other than teaching, Alan is studying for the TCRG exam in 2016 and is a sales representative for Yelp!
Nora Murphy began dancing with Cross Keys at the age of five. She danced competitively for 15 years, competing at several National Championships and All-Ireland Championships. She began assisting with classes during High School and continued to teach throughout college and onward. She is studying to take the TCRG in 2016 with 3 other Cross Keys teaching assistants. When she's not teaching Nora is pursuing a master's degree in Special Education.
Colleen Wade began her career at Cross Keys at the young age of 4 years old. She has competed internationally in both solo and team competitions. Colleen started teaching classes after her recent college graduation from the University of Kentucky in 2015.
When not teaching, Colleen is working for a start-up company, Spudz. She lives in Louisville, Kentucky and is currently studying for the TCRG exam in 2016.
Brynn Draguesku began dancing with Cross Keys at the age of seven in the Gaelic Park Basement. She danced competitively for ten years, competing at several National Championships, All-Ireland Championships, and two World Championships. She began assisting with classes during High School and has been teaching ever since. She is studying to take the TCRG in 2016. When she's not teaching Brynn works full time on the Development Team for a breast and ovarian cancer non-profit in Chicago.
